E85 Ethanol - A Great Idea

The issue of gas usage has been a topic surrounding muscle cars for a long time, being as how these cars are not designed for gas economy, but with the onset of new fuel resources, such as E85 ethanol things are starting to look good for a serious return of muscle cars to the United States, E85 is a high octane clean burning fuel that comes form a renewable source, made from corn, and we grow a lot of corn in this country.

The E85 will not only give us an alternative fuel, but it will help the farmers to be more profitable in their business, and that is a very good thing, this fuel is easy to produce and the farmers will be producing corn to make it from for ever more, it reduces our dependence on foreign oil, and helps keep our planet healthy and viable, I say give the inventors of this idea a lot of “KUDOS” for their efforts in this area.

E85 can be run in new cars with a reprogramming of the ecu, and in the old car with little or no nods to the carburetion system of the car, it’s a very good idea for muscle car freaks like me, and I look forward to it being readily available very soon hopefully, it solves a lot of problems for me and the people that love the old classic cars like I do.

E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% fossil based oil, so you can imagine how it could change things as far as the oil situation in our country, E85 is one of the greatest ideas to come down the pike for a long time, as far as alternate fuels go, ideas don’t get any better then this one, and we need to see it happen very soon.
